Systems

The system that is utilised has been tested and proven to be effective in all areas of operation. The system is installed onto a local area network at our offices in Bergvliet and all data is resident on our dedicated file server. Should it be required, we can afford the Underwriter access to the daily system, via a modem, for statistical purposes.

Security

The system is backed up on a daily basis and the backups are, at all times, stored off site. System access is limited by password. An internal computer audit function provides management reports to alert them to any misuse or attempted misuse of the system.

Training

We have an ongoing program of training for all our staff to keep up to date with important changes within the industry and market. We are in the process of qualifying a member of staff as an INSETA Qualified Assessor and will begin formal INSETA Training from our offices in Bergvliet in due course.

Ongoing Claims Analysis

The system allows daily, weekly and monthly monitoring of claims experience and trends and enables ongoing interaction with our Underwriter and Intermediaries with regards to risk management in order to protect our core business.

Legislation

SANFA is underwritten and complies with all requirements of the Long Term Insurance Act. No 52 of 1998 and is a registered representative of Prosperity Funeral Advisors (Pty) Ltd, as per the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act 37 of 2002 (F.A.I.S.) with F.S.P. Number 43735.
